Any company or business that has a shipping process, from large businesses and warehouses to eCommerce sites, can benefit from optimizing how they get shipments ready and out the door. How you deliver on your promise to the customer will ultimately define the experience for them and whether they choose to do business with you again.
A stretch wrapper is a great addition to your shipping operation, especially when you’re handling more than 50 loads per day. The right stretch wrapper can save labor hours, provide a safer environment for your employees and properly wrap your pallets for safe and damage-free shipping to your customers.
Stretch wrapping pallets by hand can be one of the most grueling, disliked jobs in any warehouse, packaging, or shipping department. Despite the overwhelming lack of enthusiasm for this particular task, it’s one of the most important when it comes to moving, storing, and shipping large quantities of goods—specifically on pallets.
Charlie Mack of Macksteel, Watertown, SD, presents his TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital wrapper. Using the TAB Wrapper, Mack has saved upwards of $50,000.00 per year by eliminating product returns from damage due to packaging failure in transit.
Bob Hunter felt a hint of apprehension almost every time he shipped an order out to a customer. As branch manager for Ta Chen International’s Houston, Texas operations, he manages the comings and goings of more than one million pounds of stainless steel per day for the master distributor of stainless, aluminum and nickel alloy coils, sheets, plates, long products, tubes and fittings. While all non-ferrous metals face a variety of risks during transport from exposure to weather and rust to careless handling and failed packaging –any one of which could cause enough damage to cause the shipment to be rejected– moving stainless steel fittings over the road carries additional risk.
When considering the many steps involved in producing polished medical equipment, finished office equipment and a host of metal components and parts from design, manufacture and finishing to assembly, inspection and delivery, and when considering the time, effort and costs involved with each step, it seems that packaging and shipping for delivery would be the easiest parts of the process. But for Mark Schoenborn, chief operating officer at full-service metals manufacturer DeWys Manufacturing, Marne, Michigan, it was exactly these final parts of the process that nagged at his mind.
TAB Industries, LLC is very happy to announce that we have been selected as one of the Greater Reading Top 50 Businesses for 2017. Every year The Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce & Industry recognizes the area’s top-performing companies. KPMG, a financial services firm, was selected to compile the ranking order of the 50 nominees. The ranking order was determined by measuring revenue growth in dollars and percentage of increase over a three year span, with a greater weight placed on the most recent year’s numbers.
This is a great honor for TAB Industries, LLC and we would like to extend a big thank you to our customers and employees for helping us become a Top Business of 2017.
Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” At TAB Industries, LLC we couldn’t agree more with that sentiment.
From the beginning, it was TAB Industries’ goal to provide an inviting and stimulating work environment. By doing so, we felt that we would be able to attract an ambitious, knowledgeable, and dedicated workforce. We are happy to announce that we have achieved this goal.
In appreciation of all the hard work that our crew has performed over the past few months, TAB Industries recently celebrated its Spring 2017 Employee Appreciation Day. The event was held at a Reading Fightin Phils minor league baseball game and the crew was treated to a buffet lunch. The weather was great and a fun day was had by all.
TAB Industries, LLC would like to extend a big thank you to our staff. Without your hard work and dedication, our success would not be possible!

TAB Industries, LLC. has recently built our two largest units to date. In March a custom 125″ TAB WRAPPER TORNADO and an even bigger custom 130″ TAB WRAPPER TORNADO rolled off our assembly line. The 125″ unit was designed to accommodate a max pallet size of 107″ tall x 48″ wide x infinite length, while the 130″ unit was designed to accommodate a max pallet size of 85.5″ tall x 74.5″ wide x infinite length.
All our add-on options and safety features can still be installed on the larger custom units.
These larger units work great for securing large profile loads for shipment. If your company has large profile loads that one of our three standard models can’t accommodate, please let us know and we can design a custom unit that will work for your application.
For more information on custom units, please feel free to contact Andy Brizek at email@example.com.
