What Makes the TAB Hopper Different
A lot of scrap hoppers look similar on a spec sheet. The difference shows up after a few months of hard use.
TAB Hoppers are fabricated in-house at TAB Industries, the same facility that builds precision products for a variety of industries. Heavy-gauge steel construction throughout means no wall flex under full loads. Reinforced edges resist denting and deformation when the hopper takes a hit from a forklift or gets slid across a rough floor. Heavy-duty hinges cycle reliably through thousands of dumps without sagging or jamming.
When the forklift tilts to dump, the hopper releases cleanly without manual intervention. No reaching over the edge. No tipping by hand, and no climbing, which keeps your employees safe from sharp scrap metal.
Built to Fit Your Scrap Stream
Not every operation generates the same waste. Fine shavings, heavy punched drop-outs, mixed metal, and oversized cut-offs all behave differently in a hopper. TAB fabricates hoppers in-house in multiple sizes and configurations, so you get capacity, wall gauge, and dimensions matched to your actual scrap volume and your existing forklift, not a generic catalog size you have to work around.
